This time as a huge team effort and with a full fledged production.Arranged on a sleek looking riser structure, the band was surrounded by classic studio elements. Scenic lighting on chrome stands on the floor, softboxes hung from the ceiling and as the main attraction an overhead kinetic grid consisting of 120 fixtures helped to level up the bands performance.Beside being part of the scenic design, two camera dollies on tracks, as well as Jeans handheld camera delivered stunning footage, ranging from cinematic shots to raw and intimate moments. a stage design that was clean and playful at the same time. As the main element we used fabric panels, hung across the ceiling and falling down in the back. This transformed the stage into a truly special space. The alignment of the panels works as a visual guide and concentrates the attention on the performance. As of this simple setup, the design was easy to scale and worked well in a variety of venues. By covering the whole overhead rig, we intentionally limited ourselves, to set a bold statement and achieve consistency throughout the tour.On the floor we created a U-shaped riser setup with multiple levels. The arrangement of the band on the sides, created a nice and tidy performance area in the center, which the artists made proper use of. their high energy shows, the goal for this Leoniden show was to be striking bold with an “in your face” attitude. We took that seriously and created a huge 8m wide and 3,40m high centerpiece housing alone 40x washlights. Combining rough steel frames with mirrored plexi panels on the backside gave us the option to use it as a massive mirror surface, reflecting light rays as well as the band and audience. By lighting it up from behind we were also able to make it transparent and reveal its sleek industrial character. Last but not least, we included vertical foggers, sparkulars and confetti canons to create that classic Leoniden extravaganza. Projections onto this canvas and the artists themselves allow for intimate situations and flashback like moments. Like looking into someone's thoughts. Fibre glass bushes surrounding the artists are used as the connecting element between the two worlds. During the show, they seem to communicate between the surreal&amp;timeless world and the intimate here&amp;now. Despite their artificial look, they evoke a familiar feeling.
